How measure strain on utm machine without strain gauge?
the strain gauge doesnt measure strain on a utm it measures stress(force) the strain is the movement (bending stretching) of the test piece.(it measures the strain of its own calibrated bar) you can measure the stress with a hydraulic load cell and a good pressure gauge and other ways possible depending on the level of force required.
