How may the Pfizer ARTS award funding be used?
Funds awarded may be used to cover the awardees’ salary and fringe benefits, as well as other direct expenses and indirect expenses incurred during the research project. Direct expenses may include the salary of technical associates; the purchase of relevant laboratory supplies; direct expenses necessary for proper conduct of research (e.g., subject-related costs, study-related personnel costs, diagnostic fees/services, data management expenses). Indirect expenses may include and travel expenses to scientific meetings, software licensing fees, publication costs etc. Other support (funding and/or drug) provided by a governmental agency, non-governmental entity, or other pharmaceutical company may be used to support the project; however, there should not be any overlap between the components of the research project supported by the Pfizer ARTS award program and those supported by another source.
