How may quarter designs will be produced by 2008 under the U.S. Quarters Program?
This is a great time to begin coin collecting while also learning about U.S. history and geography. Beginning in January 1999, the U.S. Mint began the 50 State Quarterâ„¢ Program. Over a 10-year period, the Mint will strike a quarter in honor of each of the fifty states produced in the order in which the States ratified the Constitution or joined the Union. Five coins will be released each year.
