Applicants are eligible to convert to a Professional Teaching Certificate valid for five years provided they meet the following requirements: 1) hold an Initial Professional Teaching Certificate; 2) meet the renewal requirements for that certificate; 3) complete two years of educational experience within one or a combination of the endorsements listed on the certificate being considered for conversion (one year of which must in WV); 4) receive the recommendation for certification; 5) submit the Form 4 available at http://wvde.state.wv.us/certification/forms/index.html along with proper fees.
