How may a classroom be replicated?

To replicate a classroom within the same domain, follow these steps: • Copy the set of asp files from the original classroom directory to another directory. • Next in the 1_config.asp file (under config folder): • Change the classroom directory string referred to in the statement e.g. varcorrectpath=”/maths” . The replicated classroom directory can for example be named /maths2 or /maths_new. • The database connection strings can remain the same. If so, now that both classrooms uses the same databases the user list, discussion board messages, announcement, assignments, lessons and calendar events will be common to both classrooms. • If however the database connection strings are changed, then obviously a new set of databases have been or need to be replicated from the original ones.
