How many years of past issues of the Journal does the online archives include, and what material is open access?
JOSPT’s article archives are complete. The website includes archived isÂsues and articles from summer 1979 when the Journal was first published through the current issue. All material from the Journal’s launch to within 3 years of the current issue is publicly available, or open access. In addition, articles published in the last 3 years that are clinical guidelines, that are the basis for Read for Credit continuing education quizzes, and that rely on publicly-funded research are also open access. JOSPT supports fully the public access policies of such governmental entities as the US National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the UK Medical Research Council, the European Research Council, The Wellcome Trust, and the Australian Research Council. Accepted manuscripts that report on publicly-funded research are made available in digital form for public access to central databases such as NIH’s PubMed Central and on the JOSPT website as soon as the man
