How many years of experience does a good DJ need for a wedding reception or company party?
Our Answer: It depends on what you expect in regards to maturity. A disc jockey who is at least in his late 20’s, and has been in this business for several years, will be much more mature, experienced with all types of music, and be very comfortable performing in front of crowds of adults or of all ages than someone who does bars, clubs or high school events on a regular basis. But if you want your wedding reception or company party to resemble a bar, club, or high school event, than that second type of DJ may be perfect for you! We’ve found that the majority of wedding receptions and company parties may only want a small sampling of current club music and played later in the evening, if at all.
