If you want to be a dermatologist you have to go to undergraduate school and get a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in science but you can get it in anything from music to psychology as long as you have 1 year of Biology 1 year or Organic Chemistry 1 year of Chemistry and 1 year of Physics. Then you have to take the MCATs and get letters of recommendations from your science teachers, have preferably a 3.6+ GPA and have hospital or community service experience (which looks good on the application) then you have to apply to an accredited medical school and be accepted. Complete those 4 years and then do another 4 years in your residency. Then you have to do a 1 year internship which is mandatory for Dermatologists and finally you have to do 2-4 years of training in your specialty (Dermatology) you should then get Board Certified and you can start your career or do a few more years in a fellowship. You could administor Botox without a M.D but you would have a very hard time finding patients.
