How many years do you spend in prison for life imprisonment?
That depends on the circumstance and state, but usually a person can be up for parole after 10-15 years. This doesn’t mean they will get out though, just that they have a chance to go in front of the board and plead their case. If you are charged with life imprisonment without eligibility of parole, then you will stay in prison for the rest of your natural life unless the conviction is overturned or you are pardoned.
