How many years ago did you first get the idea for the story of The Incredibles?
Twelve, actually. The reason I know is the baby in the movie is named after my middle son, Jack. And when he was a toddler, we called him Jack-Jack. And he’s twelve. Often times you have an idea and it’s only the kernel, and you sit with it a while and then you add a little something to it. You don’t really know when it started. That’s the only way I know.
