How many yards of fabric is a shower curtain or a stand size curtian panel?

I’m keeping my eyes open for fabric for my chairs–when i bought the red/gold checked fabric I only need 1 1/2 yards– So Im wondering if a shower curtain or a curtain panel would be big enough to do all 4 chairs should I happen across either in a fabric that I really like.
