How many workers in the United States are in a co-employment PEO arrangement?
NAPEO, (the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations), estimates that between 2.5 and 4 million American workers are currently co-employed in a PEO arrangement. PEO’s are operating in every state and the industry has grown between 20% and 30% per year over the past 10 years. Today there are well over 2000 PEO companies that are responsible for over $20 billion in employee wages and human resource and employee benefits.
