How many women attend the Academy?
About a third of our students are women. There is a smaller wing of the rented house that lends itself to being the women’s wing. We receive more applications from women than men therefore it takes longer for women to be accepted. The Founders believe strongly that it is a priesthood responsibility for the men to be the major provider for the family. Our emphasis on teaching men is something else that makes us unique from most other charitable foundations since most that teach MicroEnterprise skills tend to focus on training women.
