The San Diego chapter has granted over 2,000 wishes since its founding in 1983. In Fiscal Year 2005, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of San Diego spent 80% of its revenue on wish-granting and related program expenses. Only 6% was spent on administrative costs and 14% was allocated to fundraising.
