How many ways are to draw a nerve using SimPlant?
A. Here are three ways to draw a nerve: – Starting by clicking the mental foramen in 3D, then in the panoramic view, making a curve, adjusting each time the panoramic view to see the full nerve canal. – Starting in cross section view, locate the nerve opening (foramen), draw, move to panoramic and continue. – Working all the time in the cross sectional view, clicking “slice per slice” the pictures and drawing the nerve. You should be familiar with all the methods and adjust to the best method in relation to the patient anatomy and quality of the CT images. In case of problems, you can ask the Master Center to do it for you, but it is recommended that each clinician draw the neve by himself/herself in order to spot any possible picture-related problem that may reflect a clinical-related situation.
