How many volunteers must be placed with a community agency to be a viable site?
As this is the first year for Terps for Change there is no minimum volunteer requirement. However, there is a maximum of 15 student volunteers for each site. To develop personal relationships with each volunteer and ensure that we can provide a truly meaningful experience for our students, we want to start our program with a manageable number. Terps for Change is about quality of experience for both our students and our community partners, not about quantity of hours or student volunteers. To build a truly successful program we believe in the principle of starting small.
