How many volunteers are involved in BREW Midwest and what type of activities do they do?
BREW Midwest currently has 50+ volunteers throughout the states that we cover. BREW Midwest has no paid staff and depends entirely on the generosity and commitment of these volunteers. Our volunteer network assists with temperament assessments in shelters, picking up and transporting these beagles to foster or forever homes. Foster homes further evaluate each beagle for sociability with children, dogs and cats. Our volunteers interview and educate potential adopters on the breed, conduct home visits; to better match the appropriate beagle to the families needs and lifestyle. Volunteers also participate in many adoption events, pet expo’s, Petco adoption days and help with fundraising, outreach education, plus clerical and bookkeeping projects.
