A. In 2002 approximately 850 12-day vendor licenses were sold. There were probably 800 different vendors in Sturgis but some of them bought two 12-day licenses. In 2001 there were fewer licenses sold, less than 800. That’s still a lot of competition in the downtown Sturgis area.
