How many vehicle manufacturers are issuing recalls?
All of them do. unfortunately, the domestic manufacturers usually get beaten up harder than everyone else by the press, so they get the most visibility. Most of the high end ones like Ferrari and Rolls Royce keep it under their hats and issue confidential letters to their customers. Add to that the fact that the press has a snob appeal love affair with these companies, and it adds to the clandestine nature of these issues. In the case of Toyota, they have been fighting since 2005 on their Lexus line to hide this current problem of theirs. As this pedal design evolved to their cheaper cars, it spread like a disease. The state of Florida has a good list of Lexus and Toyota models going back that far that have been reported under the Lemon Law act.
