No more than 10 stations can run off a single box but there is no definite limit on the number of USB devices. The USB limitations derive from distance and power. You will need a minimum of one powered port for each station (either directly from the back of the computer box or via powered hubs). The power drawn by a keyboard and mouse is so great that you cannot connect two stations into an un-powered hub. We typically add a USB PCI card into the systems we build. To extend the USB connections you need to add powered hubs.
