How many transactions can be submitted in a single batch?
Your processor determines the amount of individual transactions you can send in an individual batch. Generally speaking, the average is 1500. However, if you need to know the exact amount, contact your Merchant Services Provider (MSP). If a specific batch has more transactions than the limit set by your MSP, you may need to submit more than one batch. With some processors, Shift4 software will automatically split your batch if the total amount of transactions exceeds that processor’s limit. You may also want to ask your MSP if they have any limitations regarding how many batches can be received from an individual merchant per day.
