How many tournaments are players expected to participate in and how will playing time be handled?
Teams will participate in anywhere from 6 to 11 tournaments based on the interest levels of players for travel and competition. Players are expected to participate at all tournaments selected for the team. Playing time will be determined by the coach based on a number of factors and playing scenarios. It is the club goal to compose teams with players who can successfully compete with one another. Understandably there will be players who demonstrate strengths in different areas and serve the team in different ways and roles. This alone will create different playing scenarios. The club believes that playing time is earned through hard work at practice, good communication and a good attitude toward the sport, team and players. Dedication and committment are a must for true success. It will be important for each player to understand her role and value on the team and how that may play out in tournament situations.
