How Many Times James A. Michener Married?
As happens with many of the creative people, James A. Michener also married a number of times and in his case the number was 3. The most famous of his three wives was Vange Nord whom he married in the year 1948 and their marriage lasted for 7 years. In the year 1955 they got divorced and then he married to Mari Yoriko Sabusawa in the same year. It is his relationship with Sabusawa that lead him to inspire to write the novel Sayonara and it is for this reason that scholars say that the novel was a pseudo-autobiographical work. Though he married thrice, he had no children and probably for this reason that he involved more into charity and donated huge amount of money to libraries and other educational institutions. He was also interested in encouraging aspiring writers.
