I assume you mean the flat disc in the middle of the meter? The dials will show the actual consumption recorded by the meter. The number of turns per kW/h *should* be written on the front of the meter – I’m not familiar with american models but the UK uses meters like this (1) – you can see the text “250revs/kWh” at the right of the front panel (just below the disc). Just for information – the number of turns of the dials also depends on the *gear ratio* (Rg) of the meter – see an explanation in (2) – very technical document but worth a read… also from (2) “One revolution of the rotating disk element of the meter is equal to (the Watt-hour constant) Kh watt-hours. The number of revolutions of the rotating disk element for one revolution of the first dial pointer is equal to the gear ratio, Rg, and therefore one revolution of the first dial pointer will represent: Kh x Rg watt-hours, or Kh x Rg/1000 kilowatt-hours.
