How many times can you play an “approved” affiliated player prior to and after Jan 10th in any current hockey season?

(as per HA’s Bylaw’s and regulations) Rule 8.8 Providing affiliation has been properly filed, prior to January 10th in any hockey season, an affiliated player may play with the hockey team to which the player is affiliated to without limit. After January 10th, in any hockey season, an affiliated player may only play 5 games (excluding exhibition and NON-Provincial tournament games) with the hockey team to which the player is affiliated. Should an affiliated hockey player play more than 5 games after Jan 10th with the hockey team to which the player is affiliated, he/she shall not be allowed to compete any further in the Division, or if applicable, Category for which he/she is registered for the remainder of the season. Special note: After January 10th – prior to playing an affiliated player for the 6th time – please contact the SAMHA Registrar for review/approval as there are some exceptions to the rule.
