How many tanks are in the British Army?
What you most likely read last year was the there is a total of 386 main battle tanks, i.e Challenger 2s. In addition to the Challengers the British Army has about 325 FV107s which are often classed as light tanks. Then there are around 790 Warriors which arent really tanks, but Infantry Fighting Vehicles as you say. I think Warriors are versatile and do a good, supporting job. They’ve got a 30mm cannon and 7.62 chain. They match Challengers over rough ground and have got a good speed.
