How many supervised experience hours can I earn in Penn States practicum?
Students can register for 4 credits (fall and spring) or 2 credits (summer). Four-credit practica run through an entire 16-week semester. Students can complete a maximum of 400 hours toward the experience requirement in the 4-credit practica. The 2-credit practica runs through a shortened 8-week summer term. Students can complete a maximum of 200 hours toward the experience requirement in the 2-credit practica. Students can finish the practicum experience in about 10 months. Please note that the BACB has very specific guidelines on the number of hours that can count toward practicum in a given month. Please take the time to review these guidelines beforehand.
