You are allowed ONE suitcase up to 50 lbs. and ONE carry-one. In the past, airlines allowed passengers to carry two 50 lb. bags for international destinations without a fee. Now they are charging $50 for the second (checked-on) bag to all international destinations. The will affect students beginning in the FALL 2009. If you voluntarily choose to take a second checked-on suitcase, YOU will have to pay the $50 (no matter if it weighs 5 lbs or 49 lbs) for the departure flight and the return flight home. We recommend that you check the airline website soon before your departure date for updates.
