What is the length of the school year? The academic year is 10 months, with an optional 30 day Extended School Year (ESY) available each summer. Click here to view our ESY program. Students receive incentives for proper behavior and for following rules using a positive behavior support model. In addition, PLC employees are trained, certified and re-certified in non-violent crisis intervention techniques by the Crisis Prevention Institute.
