How many students are in the graduate program in Art History, Theory + Criticism at SAIC? How many applicants are accepted?
Each entering class is made up of a total of 15 to 18 new students. There are approximately 40 students in the Master’s in Modern and Contemporary Art History, Theory + Criticism program at any one time. This number includes first- and second-year graduate students, continuing third-year dual-degree students, and a small number of part-time graduate students. Annually, we receive around 125 applicants to the program and accept roughly 20%.
