How many start-up companies has the computer science department created?
The department has spurred four startups. I’d like to focus more on private sector collaboration, which provides research money to UTD, helps faculty and students with their research and has the potential to raise the department’s profile. Secondly, I want to increase our software licensing and commercialization of technology developed by department faculty and students. How much annual research funding does your department receive?
