The Eagle Nebula is a diffuse dust Nebula with no stars, Object IC4703. But associated with it, there is an open stars cluster, object M16 or NGC6611, containing around 400-500 stars. From the average spectral group “O” it can be deducted that they are young stars burning hydrogen.
