How many stars are in the triangulum galaxy?
Triangulum is believed to be home to around 30 to 40 billion stars. However, data is always improving. Scientists used to believe that Andromeda was as small as 70,000 light years across, but they now believe it to be more than 200,000. Recent estimations indicate that Andromeda may be home to a trillion stars. While Triangulum is the third largest galaxy in the local group (behind Andromeda and our own Milky Way), it could be larger than believed, and thus home to more stars than previously estimated.
