How many stars approxiamately are there in our galaxy?
Within the main body of the Milky Way there are estimated to be between 200 and 400 billion stars. http://www.space.com/milkyway/ The Milky Way is the galaxy which is the home of our Solar System together with at least 200 billion other stars (more recent estimates have given numbers around 400 billion) http://seds.org/Messier/more/mw.html The Milky Way system is a spiral galaxy consisting of over 400 billion stars http://cass.ucsd.edu/public/tutorial/MW.html Apparently, we are sure about 200 – 400 billion stars, but, there may be many more that we simply havent had the chance to observe, yet.
