Kinney also became the first Springfield Cardinals’ player to appear in a postseason game and the first to ever win a World Series Ring, when the Cardinals beat Detroit in the 2006 Fall Classic! Through the end of the 2009 season, a total of 24 former Springfield Cardinals have made their big league debut with the St. Louis Cardinals.
