You are correct. I have spent a great deal of time debating this subject with many so-called wildlife defenders. I love it when someone who has never been outside Seattle claims to know more about the environment than those of us who are out in it every day. BTW: Putting a bumper sticker on your car does not make you a conservationist. It is shameful when the southern California farmlands that produce over 25% of our nation’s food cannot be irrigated during the drought which has lasted almost 3 years because a two inch smelt that only lives in the man-made irrigation canals is endangered.
