How many SMART Boards are being used at PS101Q and what are they used for?

Currently, there are 14 SMART Boards in use. They include Technology (Mr. Hyman), Science (Mr. Parlini), and at least one lab-site in the following grades: Grade 1 (Mrs. Steincke and Mrs. Harris), 2 (Mrs. Klien), 3 (Mrs. Ippolito & Mrs. Elias), 4 (Mrs. Carter and Ms. Widjaja/Ms. Eisenberg, and Mrs. Gorham), and ALL of grades 5, and 6. Even Mrs. Malien uses Mr. Hyman’s SMART Board for her Art classes. SMART Boards are used for general lessons during class – and for every curriculum area. They are especially helpful for fun, interactive test prep. Examples of SMART Board lessons that have been done during technology can be found on the ‘SMART Board’ link on this page.
