How many smaller crosses are there in the St. Anastasia cross and what do they represent?
The St. Anastasia cross is one giant cross comprised of many little crosses. Each cross – some big, some small is said to represent the burdens that we each must carry at some point of our life. Father Davidson would often reference the cross during mass to let us know that at one point of our life or another that each of those crosses will be ours to carry (Archdiocese of Detroit, 2008). Many of us may not know this, however being a Knight of Columbus it is our duty to dig deeper into our religion and culture to unveil the meaning hidden underneath many different wonders like our cross. Through our search for enlightenment we become closer to God as we meditate on the many wonders that life and our Catholic religion has to offer.
