How many slate colors are there and what are they?
Generally speaking, North American slate is some shade or combination of the following colors: Grey (Gray), Green, Purple, Black and Red. These colors are found in a variety of hues amongst a number of quarries. They can and will vary widely between quarries and geographical location. Some will change color and some will not.
