How many signatures are required to put an Initiative to the People on the ballot?
Currently, an initiative sponsor must submit at least 241,153 valid signatures of Washington registered voters to appear on the ballot in the 2010 General Election. The Washington State Constitution requires initiative sponsors to submit a number of signatures at least equal to 8% of all votes cast for Governor in the most recent gubernatorial election in Washington State.
