How many sessions does the client receive under the EAP?
This depends on the issue and what the clients needs. Our model does not have a limit on the number of sessions allowed, but our average number of sessions per case is two. We ask that you stay in close touch with us so that together we can make a referral quickly if the client is going to need longer-term therapy. At times, it may make sense for you to begin psychotherapy with the client within his or her insurance plan. We do allow self-referral in those cases, as long as you also give the client at least 1-2 additional resources.
