According to the AAP, they are supposed to eat about 1/4 the amount a healthy adult eats, same amount of servings and everything. According to the average toddler, they are supposed to eat whenever and whatever they want. I was just as worried about my son when he started table food, so I give him a liquid multivitamin called poly-vi-sol and after he is done eating we offer him some baby food just in case he is still hungry. Remember, their tummies are as small as their fists, so dont give him any junk to eat, make sure all his food is healthy and balanced and he will eat what he needs.
