How many samples are needed to characterize my waste stream?
As a general rule of thumb, one 3-5 point composite sample is required per 100 tons of material. As the tonnage increases to greater than 500 tons, the required number of samples can be scaled back. Olympic View Sanitary Landfill has different sampling requirements than the other facilities. Please contact the Environmental Specialist for specific details.
