How many RPG units are required for a waste spark system?
A 4 cylinder waste spark will require 2 modules, a 6 cylinder engine will require 3 modules and an 8 cylinder engine will require 4 modules. The coil pack must be mounted on the side of the engine and cannot be coil over plug type waste spark system. It is currently not possible to install the RPG 4700 module for coil over plug type ignition systems. Can I increase the plasma energy by adding more RPG units? Yes you can hook multiple RPG 4700 units in parallel doubling the energy each time you add another unit and thus seeing even more benefits. Can the RPG 4700unit be used with COP systems? No. But we are working away in our labs designing a COP system. Can the RPG unit be used on a small engine such as a motor bike or outboard motor? Yes. The RPG unit can be used in inline mode for any single cylinder or V twin engine. You will require non resistor plugs and a copper core cable to connect from plasma output to the spark plug.
