How many representatives does each state have in congress?
Each state has a number of representatives that is tied to the population of that state. For example, sparsely populated states like Alaska and Rhode Island only have 2 representatives per state. California and New York have the most (California tops the list), but I’m not exactly sure how many they have. The Senate is different. Each state has 2 senators, regardless of state population. It’s how they try to ensure equal representation of the people and equal representation of the states.
