General Municipal Elections are held every two years, and the next General Election is scheduled for November 2, 2010. Candidates for local office must be citizens of the United States, registered voters, must live within the Mt. Shasta city limits, and be 18 years of age or older. Citizens interested in becoming City Council, City Clerk, or City Treasurer candidates will need to obtain nomination papers from the City Clerk or Siskiyou County Clerk.
