How many pupils in each of the Yellis Test Bands go on to achieve 5 or more (1 or more) A*-C’s (A*-G’s) at GCSE?
In an analysis of the 2008 GCSE results, we found that of the subjects we analysed (including Short Courses counted as half of a GCSE, and Vocational Courses counted as two GCSEs): • In Band A, 94% of pupils went on to get 5 or more A*-C’s (92% inc. Eng & Maths) • In Band B, 79% of pupils went on to get 5 or more A*-C’s (70% inc. Eng & Maths) • In Band C, 48% of pupils went on to get 5 or more A*-C’s (36% inc. Eng & Maths) • In Band D, 14% of pupils went on to get 5 or more A*-C’s (8% inc. Eng & Maths) • In Band A, 96% of pupils went on to get 5 or more A*-G’s (96% inc. Eng & Maths) • In Band B, 94% of pupils went on to get 5 or more A*-G’s (94% inc. Eng & Maths) • In Band C, 89% of pupils went on to get 5 or more A*-G’s (89% inc. Eng & Maths) • In Band D, 72% of pupils went on to get 5 or more A*-G’s (71% inc.
