How many professional boxers have died in the ring?
I’m not sure of the exact stats but there have been several notable fighters who have died from injuries suffered in the ring. The first one that comes to mind to me is Duk Koo Kim after his fight with Mancini dying from the injuries he sustained. Other notable deaths that occurred were Sam Baroudi after his fight with Ezzard Charles, Jimmy Doyle after his fight with Sugar Ray Robinson, Ernie Schaff and Frankie Campbell died from the devastating punches of Max Baer, Bennie “Kid” Paret died after fighting Emile Grifith, and Davey Moore died from injuries from his fight with Sugar Ramos.
