how many pounds did you lose in phase 1 of the South Beach Diet?
I have been on the South Beach for 4 weeks. I lost 10 pounds in the first two weeks. That was great but I have lost nothing sice then. I do workout everyday for 30 minutes. I am doing Phase 2 just like the book says. I would like to know why I have stopped losing weight. I have 60 more pounds to go. So I really need to get going. Thank you to anyone who could help me. Phase 1 is the toughest phase, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you lose the most weight in phase 1. I actually lost 6 pounds in Phase 1, but lost 9 in Phase 2. So, if you haven’t lost what you wanted in Phase 1, do not be discouraged! I think the best tip I have for Phase 1 is to absolutely avoid any Fruit/starch/milk. I know it might seem silly or taken for granted since they are foribiden in Phase 1 anyway, but it is very easy to have fruit/strach/milk by accident without even realizing it, and this throws the whole diet off kilter. So the biggest thing to pay attention to is to be sure not to have any fruit/strach/milk whatsoever. But keep up the courage and the determination and, if you do the diet right, you will have great results. Even though Phase 1 might be the toughest, you can lose even more weight in Phase 2!
