How many Ponies have been released as figurines?
The first twelve Painted Pony figurines were released in January 2003. The second set of twelve was released six months later in the summer of 2003, and a third set of twelve was released six months in the winter of 2004. At approximately the same time, seven Painted Ponies were retired (they had performed well and were put out to pasture). When the current stock held by retailers is sold out, no more of these Ponies will be produced. That will leave twenty-nine Ponies available until June 2004, when a summer set of eight Ponies will be released. As a holiday bonus, another set of four “Christmas-themed” Ponies will be coming out later this summer.
